Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jason Stamis

Candidate for
Council Member; Borough of Parkside; 2 Year Term

This information is provided by the candidate

I believe any political position requires a person to remember they are a public servant. If you keep this in the front of your mind at all times, you will always place the people you serve first.

Since being on Council I have been given the job of communications. I believe that keeping communication up between Council and the Residents is very important. I want to make sure we have as many viable options as we can. This is why I revamped the Borough Web Site http://parksideboro.com and started to use an electronic news letter. Using email to give out the newsletter allows us to give out information quickly at no costs to residents, as well as leaving it placed on the web site. I am in the process of setting up a quarterly paper newsletter as well, for those that do not want their information in an electronic format.

I am also planning on doing all we can to improve Edgmont Ave through grants and using the Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan that was developed between Brookhaven, Parkside, and Upland. Our neighbors well being is just as important as ours and working together I hope we can accomplish a great deal.

I am also very excited about the new YANA program Council has introduced. Helping out our neighbors in need an extra hand is a very important building block to a great community.
