It is with enthusiasm and excitement that I endorse the candidacy of Bob Kenworthy, who is running for election to the Nether Providence Board of Commissioners from Ward 2 on November 3rd.

I can think of no one better qualified to fill my seat on the Board of Commissioners when I step down at the end of this year.

I've known Bob for a number of years. He is hard-working, level-headed, and fair-minded. He's also a natural leader. Two years ago, Bob served as a volunteer member of the Township's Recycling Task Force. I was impressed by the way he and the other members of this small committee were able to come forward with a workable plan that addressed the sometimes divergent views of community residents on how to improve recycling in our township. Our enhanced recycling program has been in place for nearly a year now, and from everything I've observed, it's been a true success. I am confident that if he is elected to the Board of Commissioners, Bob will use the same skills and talents he brought to bear on the recycling issue to develop practical solutions that address other important Township concerns.

Bob also shares my views on many of the issues that motivated me to run for office four years ago, among them: controlling development in our township; making our community more walkable by installing sidewalks on key routes; thwarting cell towers from being located in residential neighborhoods; protecting the township's historic buildings and resources; and maintaining fiscal discipline when it comes to Township spending. I'm pleased with the substantial progress that has been made on these issues during my tenure, and I'm very confident that Bob will make the right choices as these issues come before the Board in the future.

I hope you will join me at the polls on November 3 and cast your vote for Bob.

Sincerely,

Sallie Anderson
Commissioner Ward 2
