I am running for City Council to be of service to the city I have lived in and loved all my life. Family, God, and Community are what are important in my life. I am not able to serve Cincinnati by putting out fires, or by putting my life on the line every day walking a police beat, or by picking up garbage, but I can serve Cincinnati and its citizens by making sure that our basic services are provided efficiently and effectively and without political gamesmanship. I have received many blessings in my life from the people around me. It has been said that service to others is the rent we pay for the life we have been given. I believe that statement and, when elected to City Council, I will be heeding a call to give back to my city of Cincinnati in the best way I can.

I love our city; however, love is not enough. I will listen, research, investigate, and think about an issue, before speaking about the issue. Fresh Ideas, the ability to facilitate agreement and synthesize the best from everyone's ideas, and the desire to do what is right for our city as a whole are skills that I will bring to City Council. We have many issues facing Cincinnati, including the Budget (we are still facing a $40 Million gap in 2010); Public Safety, making our streets and neighborhoods safe for all of Cincinnati must be the primary focus of our efforts as a city; and Redevelopment of our Businesses and our Housing base, moving the city forward by emphasizing our strengths and utilizing public + private partnerships with measurable and attainable goals. Whatever the issue, my unique combination of Knowledge, Experience, Innovative Solutions, and Perseverance will allow us to meet the challenges, solve the problems, and make Cincinnati better than it is today.
