Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Lisa M. Curtis

Candidate for
Council Member; City of North College Hill

This information is provided by the candidate

I am running as a candidate for North College Hill City Council because I believe that it is time for a change in our government. I am aware that taxes are a necessary part of running a community, however they should be fair, simple to pay and used in a way that benefits all citizens of NCH. Fiscal responsibility and streamlining of how they are paid and collected is needed. Our local government has a responsibility to provide protection for all citizens, create an environment where businesses can flourish and to do this with clarity and accountability. I feel that this can be accomplished in an efficient manner without placing too large of a financial burden on taxpayers. I am a proactive person and would address issues before they become a problem. I would make common sense decisions based on what is feasible at this time by putting public safety as my top priority. North College Hill has not moved ahead with the times and a fresh perspective is needed to advance our community forward. My vision for NCH is that we be the envy of surrounding communities and a place where people want to live or start a business. I don't pretend to be an expert, however a private citizen who has lived here for many years. I see what is needed to help NCH move ahead and that is why I am running for North College Hill City Council.
