I have decided to run for Cincinnati City Council because of my desire to elevate my service to the community and to really affect positive change at this critical stage in Cincinnati's future. Being a single mother I definitely know what it takes to overcome adversity and not give up--that is why I am not giving up on Cincinnati!

I want us to come together across socioeconomic, racial, and political divides so that every resident, especially our youth, has an equal chance at a prosperous future. We can and must do better. My campaign platform focuses on four main areas: public safety, economic development, transportation and youth development.

PUBLIC SAFETY

I have a vision for the City of Cincinnati to be one of the safest and most united communities in Ohio. That cannot happen unless we work TOGETHER TO SUPPORT PUBLIC SAFETY! Our police and fire departments work hard to ensure that we are SAFE. Let's support these hardworking individuals who risk their lives to protect our lives. "IF WE CAN'T BE SAFE, WE CAN'T BE ANYTHING IN CINCINNATI!"

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

The youth in Cincinnati do not have an active VOICE. They are not given the opportunity to actively express their opinions or views on important issues. If elected to City Council, I would like to implement a Cincinnati Youth Council. Please help me raise the profile of the youth in Cincinnati. Let's provide them with greater opportunities and promote their contribution to community life. We need to start developing strong minds for Cincinnati's future" NOW...

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

You may ask what do we need more of in Cincinnati? Well, the answer is quite simple, we need more small businesses.

Small businesses create and sustain quality local jobs and they are the businesses and the people that assist with keeping our communities and City operating.

We need to make it easy and empower our residents so that entrepreneurial spirit can rise up in this community to reduce blight and transform Cincinnati. If elected to City Council, I will encourage and support the growth of minority and women owned businesses. Let's CREATE QUALITY LOCAL JOBS TOGETHER!

TRANSPORTATION

We need more efficiency and cost-effectiveness when it comes to transportation in Cincinnati. If elected to City Council, I will work hard to ensure that transit travel is easier and more convenient in order to attract and retain residents and tourists. We must give people more of a reason to get out of their cars and onto the bus. Also, if we want the city to move forward then the Streetcar is definitely a must. This is not only an innovative idea, but a key component to attracting and retaining residents and tourists to Cincinnati.

When it comes to Cincinnati City Council, it is time for someone new to shake things up. I will BE THAT CHANGE Cincinnati has been waiting for! All residents deserve to be heard. Cincinnati needs the right candidate to be an advocate for the residents and I can make it happen!
