Bringing Jobs to Cincinnati - Economic Development for Greater Prosperity

By Jeff Berding

Candidate for Council Member; City of Cincinnati

This information is provided by the candidate
Cincinnati is poised to become the leading Midwestern city for business expansion and relocation - and that means more jobs for Cincinnatians and tax revenue for the City.
Cincinnati has long been a city of potential, and despite the current economic downturn, we can become a booming, vibrant city where businesses want to relocate, expand, and offer jobs to Cincinnatians.

The next two years will be critical in determining how Cincinnati emerges from the current economic downturn, and with strong leadership and the right ideas, we can make the most of our current difficulties.

I am proposing an economic development plan that will include increased cooperation with our newly-revitalized Port Authority to bring new development to our City, a panel of tax and business professionals to study and improve our tax system, and partnerships with local organizations to increase our workforce development efforts.

The GO Cincinnati plan offered a strategy for making Cincinnati a better place to live work and play, and with the right leadership Cincinnati is ready to move forward and achieve greater prosperity.
