  • Born November 15, 1954 in Utica, New York
  • Graduate of Siena College, 1976 B.B.A. Accounting Professional Narrative During my senior year of college I was recruited by Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City for a position in their domestic branch auditing department. Immediately after graduation I relocated to the New York metropolitan area to begin my career. In 1977, while still employed by the bank I was offered the position of Deputy Commissioner of Finance for Oneida County, N.Y. My employment with the County led to an opportunity with the City of Utica. I was hired as the Budget Director in 1978. During that time I was also employed as an evening instructor at Mohawk Valley Community College, teaching introductory accounting courses and at Utica College's Extension Program at Griffith Air Force Base teaching Municipal Financial Management Courses. In the fall of 1981 I accepted a position with the Village of Pleasantville as Director of Finance/Village Treasurer. During my tenure I implemented the Village's first automated financial management system. The Village of Pleasantville became the flagship municipality for this system. Also during my tenure with Pleasantville, the existing Village Manager resigned and I was the Acting Village Manager for a year. As a result of my experience in Pleasantville, in 1984 I was offered a position with Xerox Computer Services as a sales executive in the public services product group which dealt with municipal financial software. In 1985 the Xerox Corporation eliminated their public service group. Immediately after leaving I was hired by Ross Systems in a sales position. Over the subsequent eight years I was promoted to Regional Manager, Area Vice President and ultimately Vice President of Sales. During these eight years, the company underwent a period of explosive growth, from three million to one hundred million in sales, and an initial public offering. Other career opportunities arose as a result of the success of Ross Systems. In January of 1993 I joined a Swedish software company, IMI, as President of the Americas. The company went public on NASDAQ in 1995 and I was promoted to Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Through my industry contacts I was offered the position of CEO and President of Optum Software in 1998. In 2005 a successful sale of the company was orchestrated to Click Commerce, a publicly traded company. Following Optum, I created Paladin Management Consulting, a small boutique consulting firm specializing in sales and marketing process reengineering. Through an engagement with a private equity firm I was offered the position I now hold with SupplyPro. Other Professional Affiliations
