Smart Voter Full Biography for Salvatore A. "Sal" Lagonia, Esq

Candidate for
Town Justice; Town of Yorktown

This information is provided by the candidate

As a law enforcement officer I was placed with the responsibility for Juvenile Crime, Senior Citizen crime and Domestic Violence programs. Following Law School I became active in the Professional Bar Associations and was elected President of the Yorktown Bar, and later President of the Westchester County Bar Association. For the past 8 years I have been a delegate to the New York State Bar and served on the State Bar Ethics Panel, educating judges and lawyers on points of ethical law. I have also held the position of Delegate to the American Bar Association and have been named as the moving attorney for the Westchester Bar Delegation to the Supreme Court of the United States. I have been practicing law in Yorktown for almost 20 years, and have lived in Yorktown for 32 years. I have practiced extensively in the Yorktown court, handling cases and conducting trials in local, Family and Supreme Courts. As the only candidate who practices in the court I am well familiar with the make-up of the court, it's procedures and those who come before it.
