Encourage a Family Friendly School Climate

We might have great teachers and staff but what is our clients' perception?
With the rise of charter schools, our "clients" have more options and our districts have more competition. From my business point of view, we must accept a market-driven approach to how we relate to out clients:

  • Our students
  • Their parents
  • The taxpaying Public
  • Teachers
  • Staff

Together, we can change this perception. As we actively continue serving our clients in a most courteous, helpful, and considerate way and become familiar with the major cultural norms of the ethnic groups living in our community, we can create a welcoming and inviting learning school environment that will "attract" more students to our district.

While goodwill can not replace a good education, this practice can either advance or hinder our core educational mission. This does not require much money!
