My Family moved to Modesto from the Bay Area during the early 1980's. I graduated from Beyer High School and went on to California State University, Stanislaus, where I met my husband. Soon after, because of his job, we moved to the Monterey County. During our 9 years of residence there, I obtained my AA Business Administration degree and commuted to CSU, Stanislaus to graduate with a BS degree in Business Administration. I began to work as a substitute teacher so that I could stay home with my toddler a little longer. I became enamoured with teaching and I decided to continue. My toddler is now 16!

We moved back to the Modesto area in 1999 to be close to family. Our second child was born and we have been living in Waterford for over 10 years.

My children's education is very important to me. I feel that the next best thing to educating them myself is to be as involved as I can in their schools and in everything they do by volunteering in their classrooms and participating in their activities. This is how I came to serve in the various school councils and committees.
