Julie believes in:

  • Ensuring children are first priority.

  • A strong academic curriculum that engages and challenges students at all levels:
1. Integrated learning across disciplines to give context in applying what children learn.

2. Teaching models that elevate thinking and problem-solving so our children become active thinkers, not passive sponges.

3. Social and emotional learning to prepare our children to be socially responsible, contributing people.

  • An enriching, well-rounded curriculum that includes technology, music, physical education, and the arts.

  • Attracting, developing, and retaining motivated, highly-skilled teachers.

  • Finding a solution to school overcrowding that is best for the children.

  • Using fiscal responsibility and accountability.
