Statement of JOHN MORROW HACKMANN, Candidate for
Member, Palo Alto City Council

Occupation: Attorney, General Practice            Age: 61
Education and Qualifications:
     Stanford Law, JD; BS,MS (Statistics) Illinois; MDiv
      Board Member, League of Women Voters; Palo Alto Consumer Co-Op; Mayview Community Health Center; Trustee; Consultant, Mass Transit, creating free local bus service; Taught Environmental Policy; Environmental Ethics; Attorney, General Practice, Palo Alto since 1981

     Our town; your dreams; my commitment.
     Now I have time and experience to devote myself to Palo Alto for: Government that spends wisely on needed infrastructure, services; Government that gets the job done, with public/non-profit partnerships; Government that increases revenue by encouraging our businesses.

     I will create a partnership at no cost to the City for a funded shuttle and delivery for residents and shoppers, on a test scale.
     Together, create a partnership at no cost to the City for Health Care and Mental Health Care, organizing referrals, access, and pro bono treatment by professionals, to the extent we all step up to the plate.
     And work with neighborhoods for personal safety; street and sewer repair; bike lanes; historic preservation; and a right-sized airport.

     Allow our residents and staff do their best work here in Palo Alto. Keep Palo Alto sound, safe and financially secure!
