I have lived in San Anselmo for almost 43 years with my wife Vida. We raised our two children, Lisa and Ned, here and both of them graduated from Drake High School before moving on to college. Our daughter now lives in San Francisco, and our son and his wife Melissa and our two grandsons, Pace and Jordan, live in San Anselmo.

I have had the privilege of spending the last four years as a member of the San Anselmo Town Council, allowing me direct involvement in the important decisions that affect the welfare of the town that has been my home for so many years. I am running for re-election because I want to continue to have an impact as San Anselmo faces future challenges. I have both very much enjoyed being a council member, representing the town in many ways, including as Mayor in 2008, and feel I have done a good job, listening closely to my constituents and weighing their concerns carefully.

My background over many years has prepared me to serve the Town in this capacity. I attended town council meetings regularly for four years before seeking election to the council. Following up on my experience of serving two terms on the Marin County Civil Grand Jury, I did a lengthy study of the San Anselmo Town Council and how it operated. I also have served on the San Anselmo Quality of Life Commission, Planning Commission, and Library Advisory Board.

I majored in Political Science at UC Riverside and after completing four years of active duty as a Navy Communications Intelligence Officer, I did graduate work in Political Science and earned my teaching credential at UC Berkeley. I taught high school Social Studies, primarily Government, United States History and Economics for 32 years, the last 30 at Terra Linda High School.
