Position on Quality Education

I stand in support of public education, raising academic standards, accelerating learning opportunities and quality education for all students

I call for board members,administrators,teachers, students, parents,and the community to make decisions that will raise and maintain higher academic standards. The social promotion policy of "No child left back" is not compatible with quality education.

I fully support educators with a diversity of viewpoints, experiences and a variety of ideas to accelerate students learning opportunities, and make a difference to improve public school curriculum.

I advocate quality education for all students. Public school quality education is the responsibility of the local schools, the community, the parents and the student. An uneducated child is denied the opportunity to be all that she or he can be. They are a threat to the community, the growth of the nation and their self.

I teach theory to nursing students in the classroom. I teach clinical to nursing students in the hospital. I make it a priority to educate the client, family and staff. As a school board member I will continue to use my experience, ethics, accountability, and advocacy to focus on student achievement and quality education.
