  • I have taught Elementary, Middle & High School levels in LAUSD (full time) and PVPUSD (substitute)
  • I have Bachelors Degrees in Education and Psychology and Masters Degrees in Educational Administration and Special Education
  • I have maintained current California Teaching Credentials
  • I know the PVPUSD through recent substitute teaching at several of the schools across all levels
  • I have trained and evaluated teachers
  • I have prepared and managed school budgets - I understand school finances
  • I understand the different "colors" of school funding
  • I have been a school site administrator with 130 staff and had to make tough choices
  • I have been a member of the Teacher's Union and a Union Representative
  • I am a parent with two elementary age children in the Palos Verdes Unified School District.

I believe our District should be a leader in innovation and creativity. For that we need board members who understand current educational research and how it applies to the classroom, are focused on long term results and have a deep commitment to increase excellence in the PVPUSD.
