Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Albert Stuart Beattie, Sr.

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Antelope Valley Joint Union High School District

This information is provided by the candidate

As a Teacher, Reserve Sheriff's Deputy, and your AV High School Board Trustee, I am dedicated to providing our children with safe, quality schools. My priorities include:

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE--I have worked to raise educational standards for students, build new schools to reduce overcrowding, and support greater classroom accountability for parents and teachers.

PUBLIC SAFETY--I fought successfully to expand the partnership between the Sheriff's Department and our High School District. The presence of Deputies on our school campuses now serves as a vital safety tool to combat drug use and gang activity.

TAXPAYER WATCHDOG-- As a retired local businessman and former Chamber of Commerce Director, I have the financial management experience to stand up to the Sacramento politicians and protect our school classrooms from state budget cuts.
