Duane Wallace Ballot Statement

By Duane Wallace

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Lake Tahoe Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Why I'm running
I'm asking for your vote because I have the dedication, experience, and financial skills to see the district through these tough economic times. I've worked to better our community since 1974. I've been a coach, church youth group leader, LTCC adjunct faculty member, President of the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation, Chamber President, served 16 years on the Utility District Board all on the finance committee, a drug and alcohol counselor, Executive Director of 4 Boys & Girls Clubs and member of numerous school committees. Since joining the School Board, I've dedicated myself to listening to you. I've heard that parents want safe drug free schools, a quality education for EVERY student, training for jobs yet to be created, that every elementary school ought to be a magnet school, that we need consistency, fairness and communication in our coaching policies and local contractors on district projects. I'll listen to you and return your calls. My wife Tami and I raised Ryan, Miles, Allyssa and Chris through our schools. We love our town and the teachers, coaches and staff who educated our children. I'll honor your vote by working hard, doing my homework and doing the right things for the right reasons. Please go to my web site at http://www.duanewallace.vpweb.com
