Scores Are Up!
North Allegheny is widely recognized as a top-performing school district at the regional, state and national levels. Student Achievement results are at the highest levels ever. The average SAT score is 1137. Our 11th graders scored first in the state on the PSSA reading test, and second in the state on the PSSA math and writing tests last year. The number of students taking AP courses/exams is up 50% since 2002, with an average score of 4.09 on a 5.0 point scale. NA has been named one of the best communities in the US for music education for the past two years by the NAMM Foundation. NA won the Management Science Associates Sports Cup Quad A Championship for the top sports program in western PA for the past five years. I will continue to focus on high student achievement in academics, athletics and the arts. Excellent educational opportunities benefit our students, our families, our property owners, and all the residents of our communities.
