Why I am Running for the Board

I believe the school system is one of the most valuable assets a community can offer its residents. As a resident of the community, and parent of a child in the school system, having a role in the programs that will help shape the academic and social growth of the students is an important and worthwhile endeavor. I am interested in becoming involved in helping to put forth the programs that will provide the best education to each individual student, while at the same time enhancing the community as a whole.

We need to ensure that the district continues to provide a full academic experience to all students. Academics is always the foundation of a strong school district, but we must continue to provide a variety of offerings in arts and athletics. The ultimate goal of any school district is to assist in the development of well-educated and well-rounded young men and women. The Board must ensure that the resources available are being utilized to meet this goal.
