Christopher Atayan is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMCON Distributing Company (NYSE:DIT) a $900 million distributor and retailer of consumer products. He was installed in this position in 2006 when the company was in severe financial difficulties. Mr. Atayan developed and implemented a corporate strategy designed to address the immediate crisis and lay the foundation for growth. Several complex litigations were settled, troubled assets were divested, the operational structure was realigned and the company has recorded two straight years of record profits amidst a very difficult economic environment.

Mr. Atayan is also a director of Eastek International, Discovery Toys LLC, Hotlink Inc. and AMCON Corporation.

Atayan has been continuously engaged since 1982 in the private equity and investment banking industry. He was most recently with Slusser Associates Inc. from its inception in 1988 to present. Prior thereto to he worked at PaineWebber Incorporated, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

Atayan was also the financial advisor to the Alexander Dawson Schools which operates highly regarded schools in Colorado and Nevada. The School in Colorado was rated recently rated number one in Colorado.

He is an honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison and attended the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business where he was a Morris Vehon Scholar.

Mr. Atayan is married To Rene' Atayan. They have two children Alina and Ara who are students in the Bronxville School and actively involved in sports and school related activities. He was born and raised in Lansing,Michigan.
