Issue #1

By Daniel Tabor

Candidate for Council Member; City of Inglewood; District 1

Residential Sound Insulation
When I took office two years ago, the city's Residential Sound Installation Program was stalled. With so many Inglewood residents being directly affected by airplane noise, non-action is the equivalent of neglect. I worked quickly to hire a qualified Construction Project Manager so that we could move forward with the construction process. With your help, in my next term, I'll expand the footprint of the program so that more residents are eligible for sound installation.

I'm currently introducing a proposal to deal with home owners who are stuck in a gap. They are eligible for sound insulation, but have code or building violations which disqualify them from taking full advantage of the program. I'm fighting to hire an Ombudsman who will work with homeowners to find solutions that result in immediate sound insulation while still protecting the interests of the City.
