Dear La Mirada Resident and Friend

Why I am running for re-election and asking for your support and vote.

I am eager to continue providing experience, energy and vision for the years ahead and ask for your vote on March 3. Together we can work to keep La Mirada the best place to live, work and play.

La Mirada continues to improve service, programs and facilities; all within a balanced budget, while keeping a sufficient emergency reserve fund and asking for no city taxes and no utility taxes from our residents.

In the last few years, we have upgraded street signs and median landscaping. We have added more recognition for our Veterans. For a small town, we are rich in facilities such as the expansive sports fields and parks, a gymnasium, historical Neff Park and Neff Home, the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, a growing Civic Center, and the new Aquatics Center, Splash! As you know, we are not in ordinary times.

During the next few years, it will be more important than ever to keep experience and continuity on our City Council. I am eager to contribute as we tighten our belts and review long-range planning and citywide needs. Because the people of La Mirada are so special, I am confident that we will look back in the years ahead and feel proud of the way we were able to pull through these tough economic times.

If re-elected, my top priorities will continue to be public safety, fiscal responsibility and ethical leadership. I will continue to champion volunteer service. A successful campaign requires the support and resources of many individuals. This support can come in many ways.
