Everone want's things to get better, but no one want's anything to change.
This has been the additude around our town for a long time , it's as if we expect some magical event to change our town into the thriving home town it once was.Yes changes are being made, but they are so slow that the begining projects are all showing age before we're half way done! The " If you build it they will come " tactic is not working!! We need to bring people down town, give them something to do ,events, activities ,shows.I have interveiwed several business men and residents and we have a number of great Ideas that will work and pay for them selves at the same time! This town has a wealth of talent to draw from , four highschools, Little Leauges,AYSO ,dance groups ,artists ,crafter's just to mention afew. there is no need to cancel the parade or the car show ,just structure them so that the participants cover the cost When people start coming down town, so dose business, and business brings revenue to the city, and that is put back into city growth.
I spent 8 years on our school board during that time we ran a balnced budget, saved money, and had no layoff's I know how to bring our students and their familys together for events, this is what makes things grow. WE NEED TO MAKE OUR CIY FRIENDLY TO BUSINESS! For too long we have made it difficult to come to our town to do business,we've made it hard on our own business men to work and build in our town. City hall acts as if they are " in the way" when they ask for help.
We need to change things at city hall and we need to do it now! Vote for me on march 3rd and we can bring back the friendly city!
