The 29th State Congressional District faces much adversity along with the entire State of Ohio. Our students pay some of the highest tuition rates in the entire nation and our public schools are struggling make due with the resources provided by property taxes while we tax our citizens to death. Our farmers and small businessmen are struggling to compete with the labor of illegal immigrants in this state and Ohio is subject to the consequences of international agreements like N.A.F.T.A. that have caused outsourcing of our industrial jobs and the decline of income for our working families.

Luckily, our state government can do something for its families who are struggling to get by. We can push the federal government toward national healthcare reform simply by starting the fight at the state level. Many states have already taken up this fight and the time for Ohio to take charge of our future has come. We can push forward with a state constitutional amendment to properly fund public schools while allowing property taxes to be lowered and we can put a cap on college tuition rates in Ohio.

This is a personal fight for me and my family as my father was an employee of the City of Cincinnati for thirty years and because of his hard work and my mother's dedication to raising me to understand just how fortunate we are I understand that I have been given a great advantage in life. I realize that with that advantage comes the responsibility to help others seek out their goals in life. Our government could use that kind of responsibility. It is important that when our leadership decides to spend our money they take into account what we NEED, not what they WANT for Ohio. It is this kind of responsibility that I will bring to the Ohio House of Representatives and this is why I ask for your vote.
