Missouri needs to look at solutions created by other states to address the lack of health insurance.
When I worked with consumers with disabilities, I saw many people who did not get the health care they needed. We have many people in Missouri who are uninsured---in his web site, Candidate for Governor Jay Nixon states that 700,000 Missourians are without health insurance--- but the number of underinsured is also emerging as a problem. Families USA estimates that nearly 10 working-age adults died every week in Missouri during 2006 due to a lack of health insurance.

Missouri urgently needs to restore the health care for children that was cut in the last administration. We need to look at the solutions created by other states to address the lack of adult insurance as well.
