? 1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Robb E. Cunningham:

I give honest information and have empathy for arbitrating the opinions and needs of every individual. I can do the work, not only to resolve the differences of the people, but first, and foremost, to inform the people of the truth.

Answer from WM Lacy Clay:

I have been an elected official at the State and Federal level since 1978. I have represented the First Congressional District of Missouri since 2001. I have a record of service that includes strong support for domestic policies - affordable housing, health care, environmental protection, public education and economic development.

? 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit)

Answer from Robb E. Cunningham:

I would never say Never....yet Never is better. Government exists to protect the civilization. When Government feeds the community it creates a lethargic and corrupt state of affairs. Welfare encourages votes for a bigger meal on the table rather than aspirations for family and parental responsibility.

Answer from WM Lacy Clay:

1) Programs to develop alternative & renewable energy resources & reduce fossil fuel dependence 2) National Health Insurance HR 676 3) Affordable Housing Trust Fund & new HUD programs offering loans/grants for purchase/rehabilitation of foreclosed homes & new FHA program to help at-risk borrowers refinance into viable mortgages

Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League.  Candidates' statements are presented as submitted. Word limits apply for each question. Direct references to opponents are not permitted.

The order of the candidates is random and changes daily. Candidates who did not respond are not listed on this page.
