? 1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Cloria C. (Richey) Brown:

Because of the 40 years that I have lived in the 85th district, I fully understand the needs and values of its residents. During my career at MasterCard, I solved problems on a daily basis and had large employee and budgeting responsibilities which are skills needed in Jefferson City.

? 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit)

Answer from Cloria C. (Richey) Brown:

I will work to pass legislation that will relieve the personal property tax burden of our seniors and make the corporate tax structure more business friendly.

I will work to pass legislation that will modify or replace the foundation formula so that funding for education is more equitable. Teachers' salaries need to be increased but not by taxing seniors out of their homes.

An improved corporate tax structure and a better educated workforce will incent businesses to relocate to Missouri resulting in more jobs. I will work to pass laws so that those who enter our country illegally and come to Missouri do not take jobs away from Missourians.
