Answer from T. R. Carr:

I have served as Mayor of Hazelwood for eight years and have worked successfully to bring jobs to our District. Including GKN Aerospace, St. Louis Mills, Cabela's, Robertson area redevelopment, and the Ford area redevelopment. I serve in leadership roles in organizations working for North County.

Answer from Margo G (Hamlin) McNeil:

As an educator of 20 plus years, a trustee for St. Louis Community College and an advocate for public education, I will be the voice for children, teachers and quality public education in the Legislature. My experience on various legislative committees has given me a broad understanding of issues.

? 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit)

Answer from T. R. Carr:

Job Growth-- to work at the state level to promote North County as an area for business location. Quality Schools - to increase state funding for schools in order to reduce the local property tax burden. Low Taxes-- to reduce the harmful impact of reassessment on property tax bills.

Answer from Margo G (Hamlin) McNeil:

I will work to develop consensus on increased funding to education and health care and seek untapped sources of revenue to fund them. I will support incentives to alternative energy and energy conservation companies and to manufacturers of fuel efficient vehicles who locate in Missouri.
