Answer from Jeanette Mott Oxford:

I was director of a statewide anti-poverty organization from 1991-2000 and grassroots coordinator for the American Lung Association on smokefree policies from 2001-2004. I have won numerous awards for my work on poverty, racism, housing, childcare, campaign finance reform, and public health.

? 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit)

Answer from Jeanette Mott Oxford:

I have sponsored or co-sponsored legislation to:
- create a refundable tax credit for low-wage workers
- update the income eligibility guidelines that make childcare affordable
- restore Medicaid to the 180,000 who have lost coverage since 2005
- reduce class sizes in St. Louis Public Schools
