What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit) Answer from Jeanette Mott Oxford: I was director of a statewide anti-poverty organization from 1991-2000 and grassroots coordinator for the American Lung Association on smokefree policies from 2001-2004. I have won numerous awards for my work on poverty, racism, housing, childcare, campaign finance reform, and public health. 2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit) Answer from Jeanette Mott Oxford: I have sponsored or co-sponsored legislation to: - create a refundable tax credit for low-wage workers - update the income eligibility guidelines that make childcare affordable - restore Medicaid to the 180,000 who have lost coverage since 2005 - reduce class sizes in St. Louis Public Schools Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League.  Candidates' statements are presented as submitted.
