Diane Singer is an educator and community leader working hard to protect children and families and to keep our streets safe. As a taxpayer advocate, Diane has made significant efforts to improve our public schools, to support law enforcement, fire protection and public safety programs. Her priority is to protect our neighborhoods, our homes and our families.

Diane is a tough fiscal manager who takes taxpayer interests seriously. She believes that if families can live within their means, so can Sacramento. Diane wants to cut wasteful spending and push back on Washington and the unfunded mandates that drain resources from our communities. Smart and sensible, Diane wants to restore the middle class through increased employment, respect for property owner rights, small business development and limited taxes. Diane believes that strong families create strong communities and she wants to work to create more family-centered sports parks, recreation areas and play zones. She is committed to protecting our hills and the quality of life of our neighborhoods.

Diane worked as a college professor and business-owner; she has more than 25 years in business, leadership, and management. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Technology as well as a MBA. She received her BA from Whittier College. Diane is a vocal proponent of public education and believes that teaching and learning are more important than test scores. She wants to return arts and music education, learner-centered classrooms and critical thinking strategies to the basic skills curriculum of math, reading and language in our schools. Diane is a strong supporter of vocational education, class size reduction, year-round schools, libraries and school safety.

Diane is active in many community organizations and a generous patron of charities and the arts, especially those that support children and families. She is president of Kindercaminata, Inc., an Anaheim city commissioner, member of the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club, president and founder of an Anaheim taxpayer and property rights protection group, immediate past chair of the Orange Unified School District's Legislative Coalition and immediate past vice president for legislation of the Orange Community Council of PTAs.

Diane and her husband, David, a local chief of police, have been married for twenty years. They live in Anaheim Hills with their two teenage sons.
