Balanced Budget

California cannot continue to operate unless it balances its budget.
Just as an individual must balance his/her budget to live without being dependant on others, so must a State. The continuous borrowing just weakens us. We must 'bite the bullet' so to speak or else we will be at the mercy of others. Higher taxes will not solve the problem. What they will do is slow the economy (people will have less to spend) and nothing will be accomplished. Basically, we will lose the strength that we have.
