Smart Voter Full Biography for Curt Hagman

Candidate for
Member of the State Assembly; District 60

Mayor Hagman was elected to the Chino Hills City Council in November 2004 and is currently serving as Mayor of that city. He has been active in the community for many years. He was the City's Highlighted Volunteer in August 1997 and again in November 1999. He served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner from 2000 to 2004.

Curt is a founding member of the Community Volunteers Assisting Law Enforcement (CVALE) and has served as Chairman since its inception in 1998. This organization consists of citizen volunteers from 50 Police/Sheriff Departments who meet on a quarterly basis for training and informational meetings. Over the years, he has volunteered for the San Bernardino County Sheriff in a number of positions. He is a benefactor of the Explorers, Reserves, Citizens Patrol, and other station activities.

Mayor Hagman is also a strong supporter and benefactor of numerous children's and high school clubs and teams throughout the community. He is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Chino Hills. Curt serves on the Board of Directors for the Chino Valley YMCA and was also named the Chairman of the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board in 2007.

Curt and his wife Grace met at UCLA. Together they have two children, Jonathan and Elizabeth. They enjoy their life in Chino Hills and moved here for the rural atmosphere and the many family-oriented activities.
