City Budget

By Don Taylor

Candidate for Council Member, 4 Year; City of Santa Rosa

This information is provided by the candidate
We need better management of City resources, new taxes cannot be justified during our current economic times.
I am a candidate for Santa Rosa City Coucil. I graduated from University of Oregon with a degree in business administration. I am a father of three and recently had my first grandchild. I have been involved in the community for over 20 years in many different ways- this information is available on my website http://www.electdontaylor.com.

We need better management of City resources, new taxes cannot be justified during our current economic times, and do not promote a healthy business environment. Raising taxes reduces revenues not only for businesses but often for cities. Therefore, we must have a top to bottom review of the City's budget and spending priorities. As the owner of a restaurant, the Omelette Express, I recently opened a a second location, this required years of planning a budgeting and I 'm happy to say I have created 15 new jobs in this tough economic environment. As a City Council mamber, I will bring my years of experience and ability that produces results, not excuses. Unless we resolve these problems, crime prevention, road improvements and any other amenities will be difficult.
