Our Healthcare in Crisis

The current health care crisis for both insured and uninsured patients in our community, our state, and in our country is an urgent concern for all. Important decisions will be made about how care is allocated and delivered after the general election. As a healthcare provider, I know it is important those making decisions about healthcare policy should understand all aspects of the healthcare delivery system.
The current health care crisis for both insured and uninsured patients in our community, our state, and in our country is an urgent concern for all. Important decisions will be made about how care is allocated and delivered after the general election. As a healthcare provider, I know it is important those making decisions about healthcare policy should understand all aspects of the healthcare delivery system. With my perspective as a bedside nurse and current position working with pediatric cardiac patients; I understand how difficult it has become to obtain health insurance and navigate the healthcare system. Additionally, I see how much of the money we spend on healthcare is wasted and worse, not spent directly on patient care.

As a member of the Sequoia Healthcare District Board, I would support projects directly benefiting patients and the healthcare needs of our community. A healthy community is necessary for a prosperous community. I support the mission of the Sequoia Healthcare District Board providing needed resources for the benefit of the community it serves. I am confident with my background as a care giver; I will make a positive contribution as a member of the Sequoia Healthcare District Board.
