When elected, I'll have the following priorities for the College:

1. Fighting for increased funding and lower fees

The College needs to work with other Community College Districts and the State to ensure a guarenteed source of annual funding and that college fees remain at an affordable level.

2. Expansion of vocational education programs, with a focus on "green"

Programs offered by the College need to be relevent and future oriented.

3. Demanding integrity and accountability in the College systems and processes

The Board needs to be transparent in its dealings, hold people accountable, and be held accountable for its actions.

4. Developing better communication and building bridges with City government and the neighborhoods we serve

The Board needs to work with the neigbors, bring them into the planning loop, and keep its promises.

5. Insuring safe campuses for students, employees, and the public

The Board needs to ensure that the College has appropriate emergency plans in place, that drills are held, and the District is prepared for any eventuality. It also must maintain a properly trained and equipped police department to serve the District.
