Congresswoman Jackie Speier Endorses Ron Dudum for Supervisor

San Francisco, CA (September 6, 2008) - Congresswoman Jackie Speier has announced today that she has endorsed businessman and community advocate, Ron Dudum, for the supervisoral seat in District 4. Dudum, who finished a close second in the 2006 election to then Supervisor Ed Jew by 53 votes, has received an unprecedented amount of neighborhood support to run in the last several months.

"Ron Dudum is a strong leader that has proven his commitment to the Sunset and Parkside communities over and over," said Congresswoman Jackie Speier.

"Ron grew up in the neighborhood, raised his family and ran a business in the Sunset, and he truly understands the unique needs of District 4. He has real life experience and I am confident that he will be a powerful, independent voice on the SF Board of Supervisors, Congresswoman Speier continued."

"Congresswoman Speier has been such a tremendous advocate for our neighborhoods and common sense in government over the years; it is truly an honor to have her support for Supervisor, said Ron Dudum."

Ron Dudum is a Sunset native and active community advocate. Over his decades of activism in the Sunset, he has become a local fixture attending community meetings and city hearings, endearing himself to the local residents.

Dudum had finished a mere 53 votes behind Ed Jew in the 2006 election for Supervisor.

Jackie Speier joins a growing list of supporters for Ron Dudum including the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades Council, the San Francisco Police Officers Association and many more. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th.
