Ballot Statement: FRED TOVAR

By Fred Tovar

Candidate for Board Member; Gilroy Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I am extremely excited about the possibility of continuing to help build one of California's best school districts, and with your support I will achieve that goal. I am dedicated to putting our children's education first and I am also committed to encouraging community participation, business partnerships and city support to ensure that our students have access to the excellent education that they all deserve.

"Educating our children should be our top priority in Gilroy. It is essential to preserving and building upon Gilroy's success--and that of our whole society".

In my many years as a Trustee, Director of Student Affairs, Assistant Director of Admissions, and Civic Activism Instructor at Stanford University, I've seen first-hand the excellent opportunities that our educational system provides, and as a result I have dedicated my life and career to education and working to better our schools and community. This experience will help me bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the GUSD Board of Education

Children's academic success, quality teachers, school facilities, fiscal accountability and attention to parents concerns will be my highest priorities.

Your vote for Fred Tovar will insure that you have a voice on the GUSD Board of Education.
