This information is provided by the candidate
Each and every budget dollar spent represents our students and their opportunities. With each dollar, we must focus on providing a caring school climate that supports students, parents, teachers and administrators while ensuring educational and academic excellence.
Occupation: Nonprofit Manager

As a lifelong resident with a history of community involvement, I am interested in addressing educational issues that we face now and in the future. Education is vital in helping us to become who we want to be. Parents, teachers, administrators and peers have built our character and molded our role as the stewards of our education system. We need to support school staff with all resources available. We need to hold administrators responsible for the stewardship of the budget. Each and every budget dollar spent represents our students and their opportunities. With each dollar, we must focus on providing a caring school climate that supports students, parents, teachers and administrators while ensuring educational and academic excellence.

Major focal points include: Bringing Developmental Assets from Project Cornerstone into the district's work plans. Focusing on college guidance counselors and mentors to reduce truancy and assist students in pursuing further education. Lastly, ensuring equitable distribution of educational resources and opportunities across the East Side Schools.

Vote Tim Tom for East Side Union High School District. I would be honored and humbled to have your support. http://www.timothytom.com
