My campaign for County School Board began 33 years ago when I took my first teaching job for the County Office of Education at Osborne School at Juvenile Hall. During my first 10 years with the SCCOE I taught wonderful students who were turned away, literally and figuratively, from the public school system. For the next 23 years I worked as an administrator, with 20 of those years as an elementary and middle school principal. In 1999-2001 I served as an appointed member on the SCCOE Personnel Commission.
