PROTECTING OUR PAST

One of the things that sets Campbell apart is that our town looks and feels like a community. That small town feel comes in part from the fact that we appreciate our history. If we do not support the Ainsley House, the Campbell Historical Museum, and other reminders of our past, Campbell will lose its unique character and charm and become just another bay area city.

PLANNING FOR OUR FUTURE
  • Balanced Growth
Like many California towns and cities, Campbell faces tension between growth and keeping its neighborhood feel.
Careful planning to minimize the negative impact of growth is key.

  • Traffic Calming
Larger new developments should be closely monitored to ensure all practical traffic calming measures are taken.
An updated traffic study needs to be done to help target problem areas.

  • Fiscal Responsibility
Our City Council has done a tremendous job of guiding Campbell through very difficult budgetary times.
Years ago, the Council had the foresight to set aside a "rainy day" fund to be used in the event of severe fiscal trouble. Today, that foresight is the only reason Campbell has been able to maintain its basic services.
Maintaining Campbell's fiscal responsibility and stability is the key to our future. Campbell should avoid deficit spending. Measure O is one key to this goal.
