THE LOCAL ECONOMY Use tax dollars wisely and urge selective budget cuts so that public safety needs can be met. Support existing businesses and fill our empty storefronts. Seek out new technology and manufacturing enterprises that will produce products stamped with "Made in Lompoc". Promote continued growth of our outstanding wine industry and the arts. Encourage new businesses which can capitalize on our rich agricultural resources and our closeness to Vandenberg Air Force Base.

GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT Stop the "pro-new housing development" direction of the current City Council. Urge in-fill development and encourage refurbishing our aging housing stock. Protect the irreplaceable farmland which surrounds Lompoc. Maintain and expand transportation options for Lompoc commuters through vanpools, Clean Air Express buses, and alternate means.

QUALITY OF LIFE Preserve and improve the quality of life in Lompoc for the young and the old. Advocate for our library, museum, recreation programs and facilities. Create better paying jobs for the residents of Lompoc. Listen to and encourage input from the entire community.
