Hello Friend,

My name is Jacqueline Inda. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara. To say the least, my childhood was traumatic. Yet I know that like me, there are hundreds in this city. I spent my teenage years bouncing between foster care and probation. In my transition to adulthood I became a teen parent of two beautiful children. One of my children was born with Medical Special Needs.

What I have lived, has made me what I am today: An Advocate for Parents, A voice for our youth, and a proud member of my community.

Today, I am a Small Business Owner, A Mother, A Community Organizer, A Case Manager for families, an Instructor and trainer for the American Red Cross. I continued my education in business administration, along with Drug and Alcohol Counseling.

Our educational system is failing our youth making them feel like failures. When this happens our youth reconnect with other peers that feel the same way. This leads our youth into Youth Violence and to the ultimate distress of our families.

In electing me for the Santa Barbara School District Board, you will have someone that will represent the needs of parents, children and youth. I will call for an evaluation of all existing programs. I will reallocate funds from programs that no longer work to help our kids succeed in academic achievement. I will put our kids first. I will implement 21st century co-curriculum that will connect our children back into schools, giving them success in life.

I am Jacqueline Inda, your advocate for change!!!
