This election is critical for the future of our city. Many General Plan changes are being initiated that will accelerate development and erode environmental protections.

We need slow, carefully managed growth compatible with the character of our city

Preservation of agricultural lands for local food production, not development, and responsible stewardship of our rich and varied environment

Reduction of traffic congestion through promotion of public transit and other alternatives

Support for local businesses and affordable housing for the variety of people who live and work here

Preservation of public access to our beaches and increasing recreational opportunities for Goletans of all ages.

Strengthening programs for public safety, safe routes to school, gang prevention and neighborhood watch programs.

Fiscal responsibility. After six years, it's time to negotiate a more favorable revenue neutrality agreement.
