  • In addition to being a 42 year resident and graduate of this district, I have an adopted son who is currently a student in this school district
  • Past PTA President, VP and Membership Chair at Elementary and Middle School
  • Measure B and Measure N Bond Oversight Committee Member
  • First hand knowledge of our students through mentoring and being a guest speaker at 2 of the 3 High Schools as well as at several elementary and middle schools, also a judge for senior projects at Cordova and Folsom High.
  • Established relationships with current, past teachers and administrators at multiple schools throughout the district + some of these individuals were my teachers when I was growing up in our district.
  • Knowledge of budget deficiencies and ways to supplement this.
  • Knowledge of both communities challenges when it comes to community, education and business.
  • Actively working with our youth through a variety of community organizations: o Cordova Community Council Director o Rotary Board member / Interact advisor o PAL Volunteer (helped successfully launch the RC Police Department's Friday Night Out ~ a safe place for students that wish to play everything from Dodge Ball to Video Gaming competitions with food provided) o Rancho Cordova's 4th of July Celebration's Logistics and Volunteer Chair o Relay For Life Logistics Chair o Former OK Program Board member
  • Recent graduate of the RC Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program with education modules dealing with school, art & culture, civic engagement and government.
  • Knowledgeable of school districts in different states and the opportunities they have provided for their youth.
  • I have been endorsed by Roger Benton, Richard Shaw and Ed Short board members that know who I am and that what I bring to the board, if elected, is a voice of concern for kids and a pit bull type attitude when it comes to standing up for kids, teachers and families.
