I strongly believe that educators are more than teachers they have a responsibility to empower, mentor, advocate and instill values in human beings of all ages. Educators have to have a commitment to be life long learners continuously. Great educators immerse themselves in there surroundings by creating meaningful engagements and collaborations that empower self discovery and growth. Democracy requires that citizens embrace ideas and concepts that stimulate active participation in the political process. I believe that in order to fully understand our rights you have to be empowered to reason and think logically. It is important to me that each individual be taught to challenge concepts and know their own truths without relying on others.
