Before election day, I hope you have an opportunity to evaluate my qualifications, my experience, and my clear and decisive agenda. I hope you will review what I want to accomplish and my vision for our community. After that, I hope to earn your support and your vote. I realize the word "trust" is overused these days but I do hope to have the honor to develop yours. Your vote for me gives you a voice in our City. City Government has been my passion since 1965 when I started work in public service, culminating a rewarding career as Police Chief for Manhattan Beach (14 years). My philosophy is that I know how to say "yes" and more importantly I know how and when to say "no." I have the highest comfort level in being a team leader and a team player. While Indian Wells is already one of the finest cities in the world and I feel privileged to live here, I have plans and a vision. I want the opportunity to make our City even better and stronger for all of us. Once elected, here is my brief, clear, focused, decisive agenda:
1. Public Safety - Remains TOP priority. Residents must be secure in their homes and safe on our streets. We need to manage traffic better. We must further develop and strength our citywide disaster plan for community safety and survival. We must ensure that the $6M+ we pay for contracted public safety services meets our needs.
2. Fiscal Oversight/Accountability - Your money matters - get the greatest tax dollar value while staying within budget - projects must have a defined budget
3. Residents- Listen and respond to resident concerns - maintain benefits, return $65 guest golf fee
4. Economic Development - Maintain high quality development completed in a timely manner, strengthening property values - encourage robust tourism
5. Environment - Think next generation - Conserve to Preserve - Form a committee to fully explore and increase conservation efforts
6. Philanthropy - Careful and thoughtful consideration of our contributions |
