Candidate for Mayor; City of La Quinta

This information is provided by the candidate
It has been my honor and privilege to serve the City of La Quinta as a Planning Commissioner, City Council Member, and as your Mayor these past years. As a resident of La Quinta for eighteen years, I have seen our city grow and develop substantially during this time into one of the premier cities of Riverside County.

Although very progressive and fiscally sound, we cannot be complacent. With a sagging economy we need to continue to have strong city leadership to keep us healthy. Protection of our assets, safety of our citizens, and fulfilling the needs of all our citizens is madatory.

I ask for your continued support. Look at where we have been, where we are, and our plans for the future. The eastern end of the valley is where the new growth is. We are a major part of the growth; and as growth is inevitable, we need to have good proven leadership to direct La Quinta's vision for the future. Now is not the time to change.

All that we have accomplished would not have been possible without a great city staff and Council. My thanks to them and to my wife, Diane, for her support.
