Candidate Statement presented in the Orange County Registrar of Voter's Voter Guide.
As an avid supporter of our community public schools who recognizes the necessity of quality education for all children, I am seeking reelection to a third term as SVUSD Trustee. For many years, I have worked diligently to improve public education as both volunteer parent and Trustee. Through previous work experience in public administration and the private financial sector, I have developed the ability to work with diverse groups to solve complex problems.

As a delegate to the California School Boards Association, Masters in Governance graduate and attendee at numerous Legislative Action and Education Conferences, I've learned to work effectively on behalf of students, enhancing school safety, curriculum, budget, staffing and other critical areas.

All parents want quality education for their children. As taxpayers we deserve assurance our education dollars are being spent effectively and judiciously. I'll continue to emphasize multiple academic choices, expectations for outstanding achievement, safety, fiscal responsibility, and accountability.

Our community possesses all the essential elements for academic excellence and continued success: children of supportive parents; quality teachers, administrators and support staff; and outstanding facilities. Given the opportunity, I will continue working to ensure success so that our entire community benefits from excellence in our schools.
