  • Two fire seasons as a Forest Fire Truck Driver in the California Division of Forestry.
  • Employed as a Psychiatric Technician Trainee at Agnew and Sonoma State hospitals.
  • Hitchhiked across the U. S. twice and in Holland, Denmark and France.
Priorities:
  • Considerable acrimony between the various groups at the SOCCCD has led to a threat of a loss of accreditation.
  • Violation of 50% law requiring half of district expenditures be on faculty salaries led to rush hiring of 38 full timers to meet requirements.
  • Unawareness of 50% law had led to the hiring of part timers who were cheaper even on a pro rata basis which often leads to lower quality teaching.
