Ending Homelessness
Santa Monica's focus has shifted to moving chronically homeless people off the streets into housing and helping them stay housed. Over the past four years, hundreds have started new lives in supportive housing. Greater success and more regional cooperation will come in the next four years.
Cleaning up Santa Monica Bay
Swirling under Santa Monica Pier is the most polluted ocean water in the state (except for one beach on Catalina). A plan and funding are now in place to clean or divert urban runoff before it enters the bay. We need to act fast. It is unacceptable to have a bay that makes people sick!
Controlling Traffic and Development through Measure T
Measure T is a tough decision. Good Santa Monicans make good arguments on both sides. I am going to vote for it. Here's why:
